Asian American Expo not only brings together local businesses and Asian consumers living here in Southern
California, but also acts as a vital link and two-way dialogue between the booming Asian market and the
U.S. marketers. The Expo includes 5 large exposition halls. Every available space outdoors between the
halls is also set up with exhibitor booths/canopies. The expo hosts more than 800 exhibitors annually
and welcomes more than 100,000 attendees.
2. 110th Annual Golden Dragon Parade / Lunar New Year Festival

Where: Los Angeles Chinatown
The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles presents the 2009 Golden Dragon Parade & Lunar New Year Festival.
With over 110,000 individuals lining the parade route and thousands viewing the telecast each year, this
colorful celebration along North Broadway in Chinatown has become the premiere cultural event in the Southern
California Asian-American Community.
3. 18th Annual Chinese New Year Festival

When: Saturday, February 7, 2009, 10AM - 5:30PM
Where: Valley Blvd. Between Garfield & Almansor, Alhambra
The festival attracts about 50,000 people and consists of more than 250 booths.
There are many theme-oriented venues giving attendees a taste of the Chinese culture.
The food court is an ideal place to sample dishes from different regions.
The festival will include an Entertainment Stage that features a variety of programs
including the JC Penney Fashion Show. The Cultural Pavilion will be presenting several
exhibits offering a glimpse into Chinese culture and tradition, including the giveaway
of one thousand red envelopes. For children, several special areas will be provided for
hands-on arts and crafts. Attendees can enter the karaoke singing contest to display
their talent for a chance to win prizes. Best of all, the admission is free.
